The anti-2nd Amendment Statists are at it again, and this time they are targeting a historic, yet trendy town in Chester County Pennsylvania, called Phoenixville.

Recently borough officials received a letter from Philadelphia Mayor Nutter which exploits the death of children in hopes to pressure Phoenixville and local businesses in to adopting an unconstitutional gun-control policy called the Sandy Hook Principles.

Is Mayor Nutter nuts?

After reading this three page letter, it is clearly an attempt to undermine law abiding citizens and their inherent right to keep and bear arms.

In this letter, Nutter openly writes that the purpose of the Sandy Hook Principles is to place restrictions on firearms, ammunition sales, and transfers. And if that doesn't sound bad enough, the Philadelphia Mayor is also calling for background checks on ammunition purchases, and a national background database.

Can you think of any other leaders in history that also wanted national gun control? History has proven, that when government restricts or takes away a citizen's right to keep and bear arms, it always ends with the innocent becoming the victims.

Nutter, this is America, not a Communist country.

What is the mayor of Philadelphia doing meddling in the affairs of a local town that he doesn't even represent? I'll tell you what he's doing, he's using his position of power to pressure and to influence law abiding citizens into giving up their rights.

Mr. Nutter, our rights are non-negotiable.

Benjamin Franklin once said, "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety".

He clearly is doing exactly what our Founding Fathers warned us about, and We the People will not submit to his anti-American views.

Rest assured, the argument that Nutter and his anti-2nd Amendment supporters use today to restrict the rights of others, will be used tomorrow to restrict their rights as well.

If your town has received a similar letter, don't be afraid to stand up for your rights. Because it costs nothing to speak out, but remaining silent could cost everything.

Here is the letter from Mayor Nutter that was sent to the Borough of Phoenixville:

  1. Mass shooting incident creates public cries for more gun control and stricter background checks. After watching Frontline’s Gunned Down investigation, I have some points to consider. The WTC of 1993, Oklahoma City, the Boston Marathon, and Bath Township Elementary were massacres in the US but with bombs, not guns. So where is the outcry to ban fertilizer, cleaning solvents, or fuel?

“Gun Free Zones” should be renamed to “Victim Zones”. Criminals hell bent on committing mass shootings don’t stop because there is “gun free zone” signage. The criminals pulling the trigger ignore current laws. Stricter background checks wouldn’t have saved any of the Sandy Hook children as Adam Lanza murdered his mother, then stole her gun to commit murder. In addition, laws are selectively enforced according to the politically correct trend of the day. Criminals will continue to steal guns and ignore laws.

Fear is a great motivator but refusing to be a victim and being able to protect yourself alleviates fear. We the people need to think with our brains, not emotions. When will we learn that doing what has always been done in the past produces the same results in the future?

If the British Army had succeeded in disarming the colonists in 1775, we wouldn’t be free today. If we allow a door to be opened that COULD lead to firearm confiscation, our grandchildren will be the ones to suffer a similar fate. Are you willing to risk that?? I’m not.
